Gurugram: In a special agreement with the National Abilympic Association of India (NAAI), SGT University will play a key role in preparing the players to participate from India in the Abillympics competition to be held in Moscow in May 2022. This competition is organized every fourth year for disabled people from all over the world.
SGT University will act as the knowledge partner of the National Abilympic Association of India in preparing these players. Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of SGT University, said that training for the players would start soon. It is for enhancing their skills which will bring glory to the country by participating in the competition.
Prof.Vinod Kumar said that the university would develop the potential of the players participating in the eight categories of the competition. These eight categories are web page designing, computer programming, word processing, character designing, poster designing, data processing, outdoor and studio photography.
In a letter issued by the National Abilympic Association of India to SGT University, Rajat Mohan of the National Abillympics Association of India has said that we hope that the potential of the players participating in this competition will be developed during the training camp under the supervision of skilled and experienced professors from a large educational institution like SGT University.
This is worth mentioning that in the month of February 2020, SGT University had earlier organized a special training camp at the national level in association with the Kho-Kho Federation of India for the preparation of players participating in the Kho-Kho sports competition.
